⁣On Tuesday, Universal Pictures released the second full-length trailer for the upcoming computer-animated adventure comedy film “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” which serves as a standalone sequel to 2011’s “Puss in Boots,” as well as a spin-off of the wildly popular “Shrek” franchise. The original film was a nominee in the Best Animated Feature category at the 2012 Oscars.
The film’s synopsis reads as follows:​
“When Puss in Boots learns he has used eight of his nine lives, he sets out on a journey to find the mystical Last Wish and restore the lives he has lost with Kitty Softpaws and his new companion Perro, a therapy dog who was disguised as a cat in Mama Luna’s home, all while also escaping new enemies who are trying to hunt him down due to his reputation.”

⁣Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the upcoming American computer-animated sci-fi action adventure film, Strange World. The 61st animated movie produced by the studio is directed by Don Hall. It was written by Qui Nayen and produced by Roy Conli. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid as well as Gabrielle Union and Jaboukie Young White. It follows the Clades, an iconic family of explorers, who must put aside their differences to embark on a journey towards a mysterious planet inhabited with surreal lifeforms.
Strange World will be released in the United States by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on November 23, 2022.

⁣Director, Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline) and producer Jordan Peele (Nope, Us, Get Out) team up to bring us a phantasmic thrill ride in the new stop-animation feature, Wendell & Wild. The titular characters, a pair of demon brothers played by comedy icons Key & Peele trick troubled teen, Kat Elliott (Lyric Ross), into bringing them from the underworld into the land of the living and mayhem ensues. ⁣The Super Mario Bros video games have traditionally featured Mario on a quest to rescue his beloved Princess Peach from Bowser's castle after she is kidnapped, though with over 30 years of games and several spin-offs to draw from, Illumination could take this any direction.
Unlike the 1992 live-action effort which was set in New York City, we do know that this adaptation will be set in Mario's fictional home of the Mushroom Kingdom, which looks to have been faithfully recreated from the games.
⁣The teaser trailer prominently featured Bowser and his army of Koopas attacking a penguin kingdom, which looks to set up the main conflict of the film. We didn't see much of Mario, but the teaser seems to hint that this will be the origin story of the portly Italian plumber, as he is seen emerging from a warp pipe into the Mushroom Kingdom where he meets Toad for the first time.
As reported by Popverse, Jack Black told fans at New York Comic-Con that Bowser "has a musical side" in the film, though it is unclear if there will actually be a full-fledged musical number for the King Koopa.
"I did bring some of my heavy metal roots because – in a way – Bowser is kind of like a heavy metal rockstar," Black said. "You know, a big, strong, and scary rock star. And I did a little bit of rocking. I think you'll be surprised to see that Bowser has a musical side.
"I'm thinking after the movie comes out I'm taking it to Broadway. There might be a one-man show."

⁣Amazon Studios has revealed the first look at Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina, and has revealed that new episodes will air in January 2023. The first glimpse of the new season was revealed today during The Legend of Vox Machina's New York Comic-Con panel. The clip picks up right where the first season of the show ended, with a group of dragons attacking the city of Emon.
